A guide, not a diagnosis

Is therapy right for me?

There is no required threshold of suffering, and you do not need a diagnosis to seek support. You may also begin when you want more clarity or a more balanced relationship with yourself.

Support may be useful when

  • emotions become difficult to manage
  • the same thoughts or conflicts keep repeating
  • you are going through an important change
  • you feel exhausted or overwhelmed
  • relationships become a constant source of tension
  • you are adjusting to a medical diagnosis or a loss
  • making a decision feels unusually difficult
  • you want to understand yourself better, even without a diagnosis

You do not have to know exactly what you need.

The first meeting helps us understand what is happening, how it affects your life, and whether psychotherapy, psychological assessment, or another type of support is most appropriate.

This page provides general guidance only. It is not a screening tool and cannot replace an individual assessment.

Scope of the service

When another type of help is more appropriate

  • For new or acute physical symptoms or medication changes, contact your treating physician.
  • For psychiatric diagnosis or medication, consult a psychiatrist.
  • For forensic assessments, expert opinions, or legal needs, contact the relevant specialist.
  • If you or another person is in immediate danger, call 112 or go to the nearest emergency service.

When useful, psychological support may continue alongside medical or psychiatric care through clear collaboration between professionals.
