Psychological assessment
Psychological assessment aims to clarify current difficulties, describe emotional and behavioural functioning, and formulate recommendations appropriate to the purpose of the assessment.
On Mondays, sessions are online only. From Tuesday to Thursday, you may choose an in-person or online appointment.
Who it is for
- people who need clarification of an emotional or behavioural difficulty
- those seeking recommendations for the next steps in care
- people for whom clinical formulation and guidance towards an appropriate intervention may be useful
Areas addressed
- symptoms of anxiety, panic, depression, or stress and their day-to-day impact
- emotional regulation, relationship difficulties, or social withdrawal
- sleep, motivation, and decision-making difficulties explored in their emotional context
- the emotional effects of traumatic experiences, losses, or major life changes
- adjustment to illness, treatment, and changes in day-to-day functioning
- clarifying resources and support needs, monitoring change, and clinical recommendations
* If you do not see yourself reflected in this list, that is completely okay. Everyone experiences life differently; you do not need to identify with a category or already have a clearly defined problem before coming to an initial conversation. Together, we can explore what brings you here and whether this kind of support is right for you.
What happens in the first meeting
We gather information about the reason for the assessment, relevant history, and current functioning. Depending on the objective, additional interviews or validated psychological instruments may be recommended, followed by a feedback meeting.
